Intraoral camera

Looking at a mirror to see how the back of your head looks with that new hairdo might be fine, but when it comes to your teeth, dentists and patients benefit tremendously from intraoral cameras (IOCs). Unlike simple mirrors, these cameras are shaped like a wand, have their own LED lighting, and can save high-definition photos of your mouth for later reference. Most importantly though, IOCs help you see the same view our dental physicians and specialists have, and their ability to talk to you about the condition of your mouth in real-time empowers you to make informed decisions about your health.

Imagine there is a cracked tooth towards the back of your mouth; does it need to have a veneer, be removed and an implant installed, or have nothing done at all? Understanding potential treatment can be difficult if patients can’t decode X-rays or see their own body in action, which is why our Brooklyn dental clinic always wants to make sure you are as informed as possible. IOCs are one way we’re making you a partner in your oral health, not just a bystander.
